If you watch the news you must be excited, that is if you are on the side of the oppressed, by the trending fall of dictators around the world and especially in North Africa. By the way, I define dictators as anyone has been elected to be at the helm of a country for more than 3 consecutive terms. While Egypt has given hope to some Arab populations suffering from the grip of tyranny and dictatorship, it will be too risqué to make a syllogistic argument in favor of any kind of insurrection in Cameroon. What is different (from a layman's standpoint) between Cameroon and Egypt? In other words, can a revolution that was cooked in Egypt be consumed in Cameroon? My answer is NO. Lack of common language Cameroon is split into two main big factions, anglophone and francophone. The language barrier stops most Cameroonians from communicating clearly their vision, objectives, etc. This has made Cameroon to seem like two countries in one. 12 Years of Glory: The Call

December 17, 5:13 PM. I was almost done with Eyong's shower. The phone rang as I put her on my lap to dry her up. Thinking it could be Glory calling, I made Eyong sit on the toilet and rushed to the dresser where the phone lay. It was Martin, and I was slightly disappointed that it was not Glory, so I picked it up and went back to the bathroom to assist Eyong.  "C'est comment?" he asked. I replied in French that all was ok. He went straight to the point: "Sabine m'a dit que Glory l'a informe qu'elle a le cancer du foi?" he asked.  I could communicate in French, and I heard what he had said, but the words he put together weaved a surreal meaning. And as my consciousness obstinately buoyed the impact to the surface, my knees suddenly felt soft, and they could not hold my weight.
